I have a prop addiction, I admit it. It’s quite funny since I rarely use any props, except with my own kid. I tend to aim for the more natural settings and not ‘studio’ type shots. I do have some new lights, but I am not comfortable enough with them to use them with clients yet.
I was playing around with my lights and my newest props last night- customized blocks! I got them from my friend who has her own etsy shop- http://thejoysofjess.etsy.com. Check it out! I love how colorful and different they are from the traditional wooden letter blocks. I am really excited about getting to use these with maternity clients and children!

I had the pleasure of working with Kimberly Brock of KimBE Photography ( http://kimbephotography.com/) last month as a second shooter for a wedding she had booked. I had been wanting to experience a wedding in order to see if it was something I would like to delve into at some point, and I definitely learned a lot during the day! I am definitely open to second shooting again and gaining more experience with weddings- I was definitely out of my element but I greatly enjoyed it. Here are some of the images that I took during the day. Muchas gracias to KimBE for being completely awesome and allowing me to post some on my blog!
